February 2025 Enhancements, Beta Features and Fixes!

🆕 Enhancement releases

We've been busy! Here's a sneak peek at our February 2025 new features and improvements:

Threshold Level in Student Summary Slips (Paid Teacher / School & District)

A threshold level has been added to Student Summary Slips to provide clearer performance insights. Find Student Summary Slips under the print option.

Enhanced Collaboration Tracking (School & District)

When transferring ownership of a formative or updating access, a changelog will now be recorded in the activities tab for each formative. This ensures better visibility into edits and permissions, helping teams stay aligned.

Organization Access Management (School & District)

A changelog entry is now created whenever org-wide sharing settings are updated, making it easier to track changes and maintain clarity in shared access.

Translator Tool & Translations Student Accommodation (Balanced Assessment Suite)

Teachers on the Balanced Assessment Suite can provide a Translations accommodations to students at the global level, setting up the accommodation once and have it applied thereafter for every formative on which the Translator learning tool is enabled by the teacher. Learn more here!

Co-Teacher Notification Toggle

We added a toggle to the "Manage Co-Teacher" modal, enabling teachers to control whether co-teachers receive notifications. This gives teachers greater flexibility in managing communication and collaboration.

Zoom Functionality for Functionalized Images in Drawing and Show Your Work Whiteboards

Students can now zoom in on functionalized images within Drawing / Show Your Work whiteboards, improving accessibility and precision when interacting with visual elements.

Group Responses by Rubrics (Paid Teacher / School & District)

Teachers can now group student responses on formatives by Rubrics. Teachers will see student performance on each individual rubric criterion for each question it applies to, as well as overall performance on the individual criterion across all questions. Learn more here!


🤖 Beta and Early Access Features Updates

The below features have been added to our list of future features teachers can opt-in to test with us:

AI Feedback Generation Enhancement

We implemented rubric scraping to enhance AI-generated feedback (on Short Answer and Free Response questions). This improvement allows teachers to provide more detailed and structured feedback based on predefined criteria, helping students better understand their strengths and areas for improvement.

🛠️ Fixes

Every technological tool runs into hiccups here and there. If you run into any technical issues please submit a report to our team so we could go ahead and fix it!

Paired Passage Deletion

Teachers can now delete paired passages, offering greater flexibility when managing content.

Math and Practice Sets AI Upgrade

Math and practice sets have been upgraded from GPT-4o to o1-mini, improving response accuracy.

Better Accessibility for Students

Students can now zoom in on functionalized images in Show Your Work, allowing for a larger, clearer view of accompanying images.

🐞 Bugs

The below bugs were resolved throughout the month

  • Print hint/rubric

  • Adding 2 students' answers to answer key throws an error

  • Conditions for showing "Get a Hint"

  • Error message when student launching an assignment

  • Fixed hyperlinks in student/teacher directions

  • Student creating their own web links in lockdown browser

  • Add/Edit Class modal not being scrollable

  • Corrupted Student Responses from Advanced Editor

  • Fix Audio Delete Button

  • Strikethrough was Applied to Multiple Questions

  • Students can't see timer on assessments

  • Fix export by standards
