We've been busy! Here's a sneak peek at our latest new features and improvements:
High Contrast Display Options
A new "High Contrast" display option has been added to the students' Learning Tools menu, allowing students to toggle between standard and high-contrast themes while taking a formative. This enhancement improves accessibility for students with visual impairments or specific lighting needs. In secure or lockdown environments, the tool remains visible but non-interactive to ensure consistent testing conditions.
Note: Teachers can toggle high-contrast mode while in the formative preview environment to test student accessibility settings.
Check Answer Limits
Teachers can now restrict the amount of times students are allowed to click on the "Check Answer" button, when scores are returned instantly.
Editable Graph Content Items
Teachers can now natively build, shade, and customize math graphs as image content items, using a redesigned "Make Graph" editor. Graphs are saved with fully editable metadata so they can be re-opened and updated later instead of needing a recreation.

Number lines will be able to show tick marks without labels
A new "Tick labels" setting (all ticks / whole numbers only / endpoints only / none) will let an author show the fraction tick marks students need to count, without the label giving the answer away.
Points are now strictly constrained to the horizontal axis when being dragged, preventing them from drifting vertically.
A small buffer was added to axis ranges so that start and end labels are no longer clipped at the view port edges, especially after using the Focus button.
Default Grading Method Saving
Teachers can save their default grading method straight from the Grading method modal on the results page, instead of digging through profile settings.
Teacher Paced Experience Upgrade
The Teacher Paced Experience received a facelift with multiple added functionalities, such as an ability to pop the remote control out of the window, or even to a teacher's phone for palm-control while presenting. Highlighting student responses, and pacing by questions, sections, or groups!
Disable AI Auto-grading of Free Response on Common Assessments
Common Assessments owners and admins can turn off teachers' ability to use Luna Auto-grading of Free Response questions on Common Assessments, from the Common Assessments global settings panel.
Print Modal Updates
Several changes have been introduced to the printing functionality:
Removed legacy options: The "Print with hints" and "Print with lettering (Gradecam)" toggles have been removed from the print modal.
Booklet layout enhancements: The layout selector (Student vs. Teacher booklet) was moved to the top of the print modal for better intuition, and a new "Print with rubric" toggle was added to append rubrics to the end of printed PDF booklets.
Space-efficient multiple choice: Booklet printing now formats multiple-choice option lists into a side-by-side two-column layout.
Secure / LockDown Browser Updates
Modal vs. Sidebar: Previously we had a "pop-up window" or "Review window" for managing security incidents. This has recently been moved to a clean, interactive side panel (sidebar) so that it no longer covers the student responses behind it.
Status Button Visibility: Previously the "Status" button only appeared when the class view was expanded. This has been updated so the "Status" button is now always visible as long as there is a secure browser assignment.

Keyboard Navigation for Graph Tooling
Implemented fully accessible keyboard navigation for the vertical tab list inside the graph creation modal. Users can now leverage standard arrow keys to cycle through active graph screens, use Home/End shortcut keys, and benefit from roving tab indexes that align with WCAG accessibility standards.
Clear a rubric score
Teachers can now clear a rubric score: clicking the level you already picked unselects it and the score updates, instead of the choice being locked once made. This was especially bad on a rubric with a single level
