🆕 Enhancement releases
We've been busy! Here's a sneak peek at our latest new features and improvements:
Student Notes
Student notes allow learners to open a persistent, private notes window directly alongside any formative. This means students no longer need to switch contexts (e.g., jump to a separate app or piece of paper) while engaging with the material. They can capture spontaneous thoughts, define vocabulary, or create summary points immediately as they work through the assignment.
Student Practice Performance
Students can now easily see their performance on practice sets in their student view. New Performance tags show red, yellow or green, indicating the level of proficiency for each practice set and providing immediate feedback on progress.
Published Items Now Indicated in Activities List
An icon now appears next to formatives and folders in the Activities list to indicate that they have been published to the library. This provides a clear, at-a-glance visual cue for educators, helping them easily identify which of their content is available in the library without needing to navigate away from their activities list.
Sort Classes by Teacher
To help co-teachers manage large numbers of classes, we've added a new sorting option to the Classes page. Users can now sort their class list by teacher last name (A-Z and Z-A). The teacher's last name will also appear on class cards for easier identification. This filter is only visible to users who are co-teachers in at least one class, ensuring it is relevant for those who need it most.
Assign Settings Modal UI Update
The assignment settings modal has been updated for better clarity and organization. A new "Anti-Cheating" section now groups together security features like the Secure Browser and password protection. Other settings, such as Learning Tools, have also been repositioned to create a more intuitive layout for educators when assigning activities to students.
🤖 Luna Updates
The below features and functions have been added to enhance Luna's performance!
Luna AI Can Now Change Question Types
Luna can now change the question type for an existing item in the formative editor. For example, users can ask Luna to change a "Multiple Choice" question to a "Short Answer" question. A confirmation prompt will appear before making the change, as this action may result in the loss of student response data for that particular question, ensuring users are aware of the impact.
🛠️ Fixes
Every technological tool runs into hiccups here and there. If you run into any technical issues please submit a report to our team so we could go ahead and fix it!
Rubric UI Improvements
The interface for creating and editing rubrics has been redesigned for a more modern and intuitive experience. The new card-based layout improves readability and makes adding, editing, and deleting criteria and performance levels easier for teachers. The student view has also been updated to reflect the new design, providing a clearer and more user-friendly presentation.
