What is Home Page?

The Home Page serves as your dashboard and allows quick access to your most recent items and classes, as well as quick navigation to other pages on your account or even to external web pages!

You can customize the order of the sections of the Home page to your liking. Click on the "Settings" icon, drag the sections titles to re-order them and click to save your new layout!

Recent Activities

The recent activities section will include the formatives or lessons that were most recently updated.

Clicking the tile will take you directly into the formative.

If the formative is nested within a folder, the title of the folder will appear on the tile as well, and clicking on it will take you into the folder's view.

Clicking "See All" on the far right will re-direct you to the Activities page where you will be able to see the full list of formatives, lessons, practice sets and folders you have saved to your account.

Clicking the 3-dot menu on any given formative tile, will display when the formative was last updated, and allow teachers quick access to the Responses tab of the formative and to the Share modal. It will also allow teachers quick access to assign the formative to classes or to delete it.

Classes

Here also, the classes that were most recently interacted with will appear as tiles.

Each tile will offer the following information:

  • Class title and thumbnail (including a co-teaching icon and/or a roster-sync icon where applicable)

  • The amount of students in the class

  • The amount of co-teachers in the class

  • The class' grade level(s)

  • The class' subject(s)

  • Links to the most recent formatives assigned to the class

  • Data about the formatives presented

Clicking "See All" on the far right will re-direct you to your Classes page where you could see the full list of active classes and the student details in each of them.

The formatives presented on the Classes tiles will present the following information:

  • Title of the formative

  • Open / Close status of the formative

  • Amount of submissions

  • Final average grade (if grading has not been completed, N/A will display instead)

Clicking on the formative's mini-tile will take you directly into the formative's "Responses" tab.

Quick Links

Quick Links give you the ability to quickly access your most important sites or Formative pages with a single click from within your Home page. You can have up to 8 Quick Links on your Home page at a time.

You can add either external sites, such as your Google Classroom or another instructional site you are using, or pages within Formative itself, for example a report you'd like to follow up on frequently.

You can also add Quick Links to specific activities or folders in your account, for example a common assessment you'd like to have quick access to, a folder containing your most used formatives.

Note: If you add a quick link to the tracker or progress reports, the quick link will even save your filters as you've set them at that time so you don't need to re-set them when accessing via the Quick Link!

If you have not added any quick links yet, you will see the view presented below.

Simply click the blue "Add Quick Links" button to get started.
