We've been busy! Here's a sneak peek at our July 2024 new features and improvements:

Formatives can now be secured with an entry password! When Entry Password is enabled, students will be required to enter the defined password in order to access the assigned formative. Once the formative has been submitted and scores returned the Entry Password will be disabled and students will be able to re-access the formative for viewing without it (unless blocked via other assign settings such as "keep hidden" after submission). *For Gold Users Only

A fresh option called 'Formative Assessment' has been added to Formative tags for focused filtering.

We released an initial version of Answer Choice Reduction. With this release, users will be able to add "Answer Choice Reduction" as an accommodation. If enabled, then students who have this accommodation will have an answer choice removed from MC/MS question types. We look forward to feedback from teachers on how to expand this functionality moving forward. *Gold Users Only

The "Practice" page is now titled "Practice Sets" in the navigation menu.

Practice sets backgrounds can now be set with semi-permanence for each set. Students will open the set and see the background set by teachers! Additionally, users can choose to upload any image they like as a background!

Added support for "spinning" guest students, ensuring fair participation.

Added the ability to select incorrect answers from the toolbar, offering more flexibility.

Added an option for org exports to filter down to common assessments, affecting files related to formatives, assignments, submissions, and results.

For consistency, the title for new Lessons and Common Assessments will display as Untitled Lesson and Untitled Common Assessment, respectively.

We are rolling out Student Header and Progress Bar updates to usher in a friendlier and more adaptive user experience. Notable updates include:

Formative's sidebar had a facelift - the Formatives page has been renamed the Activities page. This section now includes all activities- formatives, practice sets, lessons, common assessments, and quick links!

The below features have been added to our list of future features teachers can opt-in to test with us:

Formee - Formative's AI assistant - has officially graduated from Beta and is now available to all formative teacher users as an integral feature of our product, regardless of plan type! Users no longer need to opt-in to utilize Formee across the Formative platform.

Every technological tool runs into hiccups here and there. If you run into any technical issues please submit a report to our team so we could go ahead and fix it!

We implemented reCAPTCHA within the app for credit card mutations to fortify security.

We have updated the "Restrict to Individual Students" button to read "Assign to Individual Students"- it clarifies the option (and sounds a bit nicer too.)
