Access the Rich Text editor menu

When teachers create text for Formative questions or content, and when students respond to Free Response (essay) questions - they can use our rich text editor to style and hyperlink the text, add tables, code blocks, and more!

The rich text editor menu is always accessible at the top of a Text content item and a Free Response block, and you can access it easily inside other supported text fields by highlighting text - which will bring it up as a floating menu next to the highlighted text.

Available rich text options:

  • Change text color

  • Text formatting options:

    • New paragraph

    • Headings

    • Bullet List

    • Ordered List

    • Quote

    • Code

  • Text styling options:

    • Bold

    • Italicize

    • Underline

    • Strikethrough

  • Text alignment

    • Subscript / Superscript

    • Horizontal rule

    • Labeled divider

    • Hard break

    Note: to add tables into your question prompts and text items, you can also click the small plus button within the text field and select 'Table' from the dropdown menu:
