Import a Google Slides Deck into Formative

  1. Click on the "+" icon

  2. Choose "Slides" from the Content types

Select Slides for Import

After import has been initiated via one of the methods above proceed to click on "Pick from Google Drive":

You will be prompted to choose (or login) the Google account you'd like to import the slides from, and once logged-in the window will present all Slides decks available for import.

To locate the Slides deck for import you can:

  • Choose your preferred view - thumbnails or list form.

  • Use the sorting menu to reorder the list by name, last modification date, or last opening date.

  • Type keywords into the search bar

When the desired Slides deck has been located choose it by clicking on it and proceed to click on the "Select" button at the bottom left corner. Give the system the time it needs to pull up the deck and convert the slides into uploadable images (this may take a few minutes depending on the size of the deck selected):

At this point all the slides from the deck will be displayed in the selection window. By default, all slides will be selected at first. You can deselect individual slides or all slides, and then also select individual slides or all slides. The number of selected slides will be listed on the "Add Documents" button for quick reference. Once you're done making your selections, click on the "Add Documents" button, and the selected slides (now converted to images) will be added to your formatives, ready to be enhanced with questions or additional content items!

Note: There is a limit of 25 slides per upload. If you slides deck is longer, please split it into smaller chunks and upload each portion separately.

Bronze (free) users have an uploading limit of 20 pages per month.
