The Number Line question is an ideal tool for visual learning and building number sense. It allows students to plot points, inequalities, and intervals right on the number line, providing a dynamic way to explore mathematical concepts. Use this guide to get started.

  1. Add a Number Line question

  2. Click directly on the number line to plot a point.

  3. Clicking on endpoints allows them to change from open to closed points.

  4. Toggle the Left and Right arrow toggles to add arrows

To remove an element, click the point or interval you would like to remove.

Graphing Compound Inequalities

For graphing compound inequalities, you can graph each part of the inequality on a separate number line to better visualize the solution set. To do this, go to Settings and choose 2 for the number of graphs. This will give you two number lines, allowing you to plot each individual inequality.
